I think this is a durian hanging in the tree.
The prices are good. I have not eaten there yet. When I do, I will go for Nasi Lemak and Roti Canai, just 2 of my favourates!
The plasic buckets waiting to be used on the fish farms.
I don't like seeing this. This looks like a fish eagle in a cage. Why? I don't know.
I also don't like this. This looks like a dove in a cage. I also don't know why.
I have not seen cats in cages before. I love cats and would never, ever dream of putting a cat in a cage. This was not the only cage with cats I saw at this kampung. I don't know how many cats were in the cages there at the back, but I could see at least 3 cats.
A walkway from one kampung to the next.
One of the kampung houses on stilts. Not something we see in S.A.
Another home on stilts on the water. The crime must be low as nothing is behind burglar bars or locked up.
One of the restorans at the Seafood Village.
A view down the Strait of Johor from the Seafood Village.
I love this about Malaysia - most restorans have a basin for you to wash you hands in.
Serious tv reception at this house which is also on stilts.
Kampung chickens. I think they must be healthier and less fatty than the chickens that grow up on battery chicken farms.
I am always amazed at the shoes that just lie around outside the door of the homes - nobody steals them!
A woman with banana leaves. She will use them cut up either for plates or to wrap up nasi lemak or some other local dish. Maybe she will sell it to a restoran.
